North Suburban Crew (NSC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 rowing club for women and girls in Chicago’s north suburbs. NSC celebrates the competitive and collaborative aspects of women’s athletics.
The Juniors (grades 7-12) practice in the mornings and compete in sculling (2 oars per person) and sweep rowing (one oar per person) at the local and regional levels during the spring and fall seasons.
The Masters row in the morning and compete in sweep rowing at the local and national levels during the spring, summer, and fall seasons.

Mission:
Our mission at North Suburban Crew is to promote national and international amateur rowing programs for women athletes of all ages and identities. Master and junior rowers are provided the opportunity, and are coached to participate at the highest levels of competitive rowing. North Suburban Crew provides rowing instruction for all ability levels through positive coaching. We encourage leadership, support effective teamwork and personal growth, all while improving overall health and fitness. Through the sport of rowing, teammates gain confidence and build trust with one another in a safe and fun environment
